The University of Northampton run a changemaker program that provides a series of projects for students to complete. This is to assist in the student’s graduate attributes and develop their essential skills to enhance their learning experience. In 2017, the University of Northampton achieved the Social Enterprise Gold Mark, which demonstrates an organisation has been through a rigorous external assessment process to achieve a recognised social enterprise quality standard.

Social innovation was completed on the Integrated Foundation Year research project, analysing the success links between social innovation, changemaker, and the Foundation Study Framework. My role included evaluating FAST project weaknesses and opportunities and assisting in developing the engagement with the Changemaker ethos. This was in addition to liaising and conducting student interviews, transcribing and coding the interviews. Furthermore, I critiqued and analysed survey data from the past three years from the University to monitor the project’s successes.
